You are inherently connected to the Beyond. You aren’t just hunters or investigators. You are marked, whether you like it or not. That’s how you can see what others can’t. You are tools, keys, or even scars left on the world by the Beyond.

What is certain is the twisted and inexplicable Event that touched you: a breach, an accident, a moment you shouldn’t have survived. You have a memory that gives you the Gaze. It can be clear or faded. But it’s inevitable.

Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Sight

You are common people with regular jobs, careers, and everyday toil. Someone from the street, the store, an office, or a screen, in today’s rural America. But your connection to the Beyond makes you extraordinary—and that is your real story. 

Gazers live on the edge; their attachment to the Beyond often pushes them to act desperately, taking risks, even crossing lines.

Who are you? Create your own story and drama—or, if you prefer, a purpose. What drives you to face off against the Fiends is up to you. So is how you’ll do it. You’ll select Features that help mitigate risks, and your Gaze lets you grasp the unnatural, unlocking Spells.

The Rift Is Open

The Fiends should not cross the Rift. The Gazers are the last line. You work against demonic influence, but can also fall prey to it. Your role has specific narrative elements that tie you to the sinister presence in the heart of the Rift.

Chaos has taken over. People watch in despair as their lives spiral out of control and twisted, inexplicable Events unfold. They need help. The Fiend is taking hold over this corner of the world.

And the Gazers are working to restore order.

A dark and deadly game, driven by the same lightweight, one-stat d6 system that fuels BLOC MASS.  Designed for 2–5 players for one-shot or episodic sessions lasting 3–4 hours.
